We believe a diverse and equitable workplace starts with leadership. This is why we take active steps to equip our leaders with the tools to create a workplace that champions inclusivity and varied perspectives. In support of this vision, we introduced an “Inclusion Training” programme to help them understand what it truly means to be inclusive.

Together, our top 400 leaders participated in engaging, in-person workshop sessions. These interactive sessions not only highlighted the importance of diversity. They also encouraged leaders to reflect on their daily conversations, acknowledge their own unconscious biases and adopt practical tools to make more thoughtful decisions. This not only helped demonstrate inclusive leadership, but also guide decision-making at the highest level.

To extend the learning across our workforce, we launched the “Conscious Inclusion” online programme, sharing the knowledge learnt to over 2,200 team members. The e-learning platform features dynamic case studies, which were carefully curated to reflect diversity and inclusion issues unique to DFI. For example, team members learn how subtle actions, language, tone and gestures show microaggressions and microaffirmations as they communicate with both customers and among themselves. With these real-life scenarios, they can practise to respond in ways that help build a more welcoming workplace for all.

By weaving these initiatives into our training programmes, we ensure that every decision and action is underpinned by respect and openness, strengthening the foundation of an inclusive company culture.
