minden.ai, a tech venture founded by Temasek in strategic partnership with DFI Retail Group (the company behind Cold Storage, CS Fresh, Giant, 7-Eleven, Guardian Health & Beauty), and its coalition partners BreadTalk Group, DBS Bank, PAssion Card, Mandai Wildlife Group and Singtel announces the launch of yuu Rewards Club in Singapore.

The yuu Rewards Club is a free and easy-to-use platform that unites some of the nation’s most popular brands, offering consumers an effortless way to earn rewards on their everyday purchases. The platform includes over 1,000 places to enjoy rewards at, such as Cold Storage, CS Fresh, Giant, Guardian Health & Beauty, 7-Eleven, BreadTalk, Toast Box, Butter Bean, Food Junction, Food Republic, Food Opera, Thye Moh Chan, Mandai Wildlife Reserve (home to Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, Night Safari and Jurong Bird Park) and Singtel.

Singapore’s most rewarding lifestyle app to help people earn while they shop

yuu comes at a time where three in four Singaporeans are worried about the current economic climate1 – especially among millennials and Gen X respondents.

To save money, 60% of Singaporeans are increasingly looking to join rewards programmes. An overwhelming number (86%) of Singaporeans also prefer rewards programmes that are easy to use and feature brands that they know of. Two in three want to redeem points on everyday spending.

yuu’s unique concept of a coalition loyalty programme offers consumers greater convenience and flexibility, as they will be able to earn points and accumulate them at a faster pace from a wide network of yuu partner brands. Consumers then have the freedom to redeem money-saving deals, offers and rewards across the same network.

“The yuu Rewards Club will set a new standard for loyalty programmes in Singapore, as it leverages technology and a strong partner ecosystem of household brands to deliver exceptional value to consumers and businesses. Consumers will be able to enjoy new shopping experiences and personalised rewards on their purchases, and merchants can achieve better business outcomes. We look forward to welcoming more brands onto the yuu platform in the months to come, and providing a streamlined, easy-to-use rewards experience for our yuu members,” said Sng Ren Yeong, CEO of minden.ai.

Earn more rewards at more places, faster

yuu operates on a simple and transparent “$1= 1 yuu Point” earn rate. yuu members can also earn bonus points when they pay with the DBS yuu Card or the PAssion POSB Debit Card when they shop with participating yuu partner brands.

yuu will see its market-leading brand partners roll out new initiatives and products to help members earn more rewards, faster:

  • DFI Retail Group: Earn points on your groceries and health and beauty buys - yuu members will be able to earn and spend yuu points at Cold Storage, CS Fresh, 7-Eleven, Giant, and Guardian Health & Beauty. yuu members will enjoy attractive point multipliers on selected products available all year round to boost their points collection and redeem them with exciting, exclusive offers and deals across all DFI Retail Group stores.
  • Mandai Wildlife Group: Earn yuu Points when you visit Singapore’s wildlife parks - yuu members will be able to earn yuu Points when they buy admission tickets and Friends of Wildlife annual membership online at mandai.com/ticketing. In addition, yuu members can also enjoy 10% off the Friends of Wildlife Plus membership from 27 Oct 2022 till 7 Dec 2022. The Friends of Wildlife Plus is a premium membership programme with enhanced benefits, exclusive invites, birthday gifts, complimentary parking and rides.

  • Singtel: Access attractive rewards and redeem exciting products from Singtel with your yuu Points - yuu members will be able to access exclusive offers such as 50% off a new Singtel TV Family Pack or 30 days of Viu Premium where they can catch the latest Korean dramas and movies as soon as 8 hours after the Korea telecast. With yuu Points, members can also redeem exciting products from Singtel including the latest mobile phones and accessories.

How to earn points on the yuu app

To earn yuu points, consumers simply need to download the yuu app, register for a yuu account, and have their unique yuu ID (QR code or barcode) scanned by the cashier or at a self-checkout kiosk before making a payment at participating yuu partner stores. Consumers will also be able to view their yuu Points balance on the app instantly and access exclusive in-app offers and rewards that award bonus points and accelerated earn rates. There will be no cap or limit on the number of yuu Points that can be earned. Accumulated yuu Points can be used to offset purchases or redeem rewards offered by yuu partner brands.

Donate yuu Points for a good cause

Members may also choose to donate their yuu points towards community projects and charitable causes such as PAssion CARES, a ground-up “Pay-It-Forward” initiative driven by the People’s Association (PA) via the yuu app.

Join us at our yuu pop-up events at Plaza Singapura (27-30 Oct), Our Tampines Hub (1-6 Nov), Compass One (7-13 Nov), Great World City (7-20 Nov) and stand to win attractive prizes when you participate in our activities!
